– Petition to remove Kejriwal from the post of CM rejected

New Delhi: Delhi High Court has expressed displeasure while hearing the petition filed by former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sandeep Kumar to remove Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister. A bench of Justice Subramaniam Prasad said that two petitions in the matter have already been dismissed by the Acting Chief Justice.
In such a situation, what is the justification for this petition and what can the court do in it. The court said that a heavy fine should be imposed on the petitioner. Along with this, the court asked to list the petition before the main bench on April 10. Sandeep Kumar has claimed that as a voter of the Delhi Assembly elections, he is personally distressed that the Chief Minister of his Union Territory is a person who is incapable of holding office.
Sandeep Kumar also said that Kejriwal can never function as Chief Minister from judicial custody. According to the petition, aid and advice to the Lieutenant Governor is not practically possible unless the Chief Minister is independently available under the Constitution. Let us tell you, Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the excise scam and after ten days of ED remand, the special court of Rouse Avenue sent him to jail in judicial custody. Presently Kejriwal is in Tihar Jail. I am closed. The High Court has rejected two petitions filed so far demanding his removal from the post of Chief Minister.
