Bonding adhesive is used to affix two surfaces together, by producing a smooth bond. This fixing technique comprises glues, epoxies, or various plastic agents that bond by evaporation of a solvent or by preserving a bonding agent with heat, pressure, or time. Traditionally, glues have produced relatively weak bonds. As compared to mechanical joints, adhesive bonds offer smooth outlines and are also faster and economical to form than mechanical fastening. Adhesive bonds are vigorously shaken before the application and the mixed with clean water in a 2:1 ratio of water with bonding adhesives.
